Abstract Painting

Last fall, when I took my 2D design class, we ended it with painting. This class revolutionized my view of the brush and paint. Before, painting was messy and annoying, and I much preferred other mediums... now, it is one of my favorite things to do!

I love this piece, "Impression in Black and White" because it shows how beautiful a simple grey scale can be.

This piece is not exactly abstract, except for the way in which I painted this self-portrait. I focused more on specific tones vs. the overall drawing.
